Summer Update: Jesper Vesterstøm

Written by Kate One Comment

Jesper Vesterstrom

We sit in the VIP tent with white tables. Jesper wears a plain white t-shirt, with his Danish, light look, and model presence he matches to the design of the inside. You can almost forget that he was dealing with the harsh elements some hours ago in the middle of the sea. That really had a place, now its time for a a break and rest.

- So, how was the last year?

It was Long! – answers Jesper with sneeringly look. - I have been on Maui for photo-shooting; I have spent a piece of time in Australia. From the windsurfing - that is my first big event this year.

- What have you been doing in Australia, does it concern your book you were planning to publish?

Definitely, I was there to take some photos to my book. It is still not edited but we are working on it. What is the purpose of the book? I would like to inspire people. But I do that also for myself, I want express myself, introduce my life. I rather imagine that book as a ‘coffie’-table book with really nice photos.

- Jesper, do you feel the financial crisis in your life, and how does it influence on your sponsorship deals?

Well, I do feel the effects of the crisis a lot. I lost most of my sponsors, and I have to face sincerely that the happy days are over. Those days everything is down. I have stopped working with Cottonfield. But I try to think out of the box, and make some solutions, re-organize things and make a new, better order. I cannot get hit, I have to take a chance otherwise I would be as anybody else. The crisis, every crisis is still step up, but different kind what teaches you what new angle you should take in your life. There are some good things still. I have been doing lots of public speeches; I still do have a car from Ford. I now am going for a better time.
