Summer Update: Dennis Littel

Dennis stands at the back of the beach next to his “Dutch Team”. Windsurfer Dirk Doppenberg, his girlfriend and of course Dennis’ girl – Femke. The day is quite lazy, sun is shining sharply and everybody waits for more wind. Dennis is friendly and smiling as usual, even though he is a bit exhausted after racing. We started with the ‘financial crisis’. The topic is on top nowadays, especially that Dennis apart from windsurfing runs a website design company.
- We have the international financial crisis, which all the world is worrying about. What does that issue means to you Dennis?
Dennis smiles widely – well, actually the crisis has helped my company to have more benefits. I really cannot complain over that. True, that it is harder to get support in the windsurfing area, but I have had very good deal already and it is more than enough for now. Plus I have got new sponsorship this year. I have got personal coach with who I do work really hard. My father in law sponsored me one lesson. And after that I got a deal with Moes (the name if the guy) and now he sponsors me. I hope he will go to Spain with me. My condition is much better now, it has been lasting for a half a year, I have a diet and all advises what I should care about concerning to my sport results. I train more; I feel that I really want to win! I am semi-professional athlete; still I cannot focus 100% on my windsurfing. But with Moes I have got more motivation to treat it even more serious than before.
- What else interesting happened last year?
Well, the biggest thing is my exposure in the TV show” Pimp my Ride”. I have a new Van made from my old one. I don’t need to explain how happy it was to me. I have a completely new car! And show in the TV show on my account. We did a little material about windsurfing to that as well.
- Any holidays?
I have been snowboarding in Switzerland! And it was awesome. With family, just to have some fun, to rest and to rest from the windsurfing but also to take a new power and get ready for the next season.
- Where do you plan to go this year?
After Łeba I am heading to Sopot, then it will be Spain, and I hope also to get to Brazil this year.
